Roberto Goyri was a Guatemalan artist born in He completed his artistic studies in New York at the age of fourteen and later became the director of the National School of Plastic Arts in Guatemala. Goyri's work was exhibited in the United States, Spain, Ecuador, and Nicaragua, and he became known for his images depicting Guatemalan history from the rise of the Mayan Empire to the present day.
